TruthSpeaks came to me after reading an excerpt from a book I received after my college graduation. I had no idea that these words would have such a tremendous impact on me:
“Often the very thing that you struggle with most in your life is the very thing God wants to use to help you minister to others. God uses not just our strengths, he also uses our weaknesses.”
When I was praying about this concept, these verses came to mind:
Jesus said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
“My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus — the work of telling others the Good News about God’s wonderful kindness and love.” Acts 20:24 NLT.
After spending some time in prayer and reflecting on what I had read, I realized that we can find purpose in our pain and that our personal struggles, problems and brokenness can be used to encourage others and inspire hope.
I would love for you to join me on this journey — either by sharing a story of your own, telling family/friends who may be going through a difficult season about the site, or encouraging those close to you to share their story.
